Privacy Policy

This notice describes our privacy policy on how information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can obtain access to this information.

Park Equity Alliance (PEA) is committed to safeguarding your privacy. This policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to personal information and protected health information received by PEA, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written or oral communication.

What Personal Information We Collect
When you are participating in one of our programs, completing an online form on our website, submitting feedback, completing a survey or subscribing to our mailing list and newsletter, PEA collects your personal information. The most common information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and web analytics data. We may use this information to provide services you have requested, update you on the impact of your contributions, and communicate with you about the work we do. We use cookies to provide a better experience and improve our website to track usage patterns. PEA is the sole owner of and user of the personal information collected on this site.

How We Collect Your Information
PEA collects personal information directly when you provide it to us by receiving services, participating in one of our programs, becoming a volunteer, subscribing to a newsletter or any communication, completing a survey, submitting feedback, or completing any online form on our website. We also collect your personal information automatically as you navigate through our website (for example, web analytics), or when you use services associated with PEA.

How We Use Personal Information
We may use your information when you participate in a PEA program; or when you give us consent to provide you with marketing information about donating, joining one of our programs, general news and items of interest to our constituents. We may use your information to respond to your requests and provide you with information you request. We may also use your information to inform you of changes to this privacy notice or services associated with PEA that you use.

Marketing
PEA provides a separate online form to join our mailing list. Where we have your consent to do so (for example, you have subscribed to our email list or have indicated you are interested in receiving information from us), we may send you emails or other communications that we feel may be of interest to you. PEA may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of services offered or that may be offered. This information is accessed only when we correspond with our mailing list periodically during the year, either via email or regular mail. You can opt out of such communications by clicking the unsubscribe link included in the email. Alternatively, you can contact us directly if at any time you wish to be removed from the mailing list or if you would like to correct or change the personal information you have previously provided.

Cookies
By using this website, you agree that PEA may place cookies on your device and access them when you visit our site. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer. The cookies we use aid us in improving our site and your experience by tracking which areas and features of our site are popular, making the site easier to navigate, count visits and allow a registered user to remain signed in to his/her user profile throughout a visit. We may also use cookies placed on our site by third parties acting on our behalf. If you want to opt out of our cookies, you can delete them and any other cookies that are already on your computer. Please refer to the help and support areas on your Internet browser for instructions on how to locate the file or directory that stores cookies. Some functionality on our site may be affected if you delete our cookies.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the services to you, and to comply with our legal obligations. If you no longer want us to use your personal information, you can request that we erase your personal information. Please note that if you request the removal of your personal information, PEA will retain information from deleted accounts as necessary for legitimate business interests, to comply with the law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, enforce the terms of service and take other actions permitted by law.

Security
PEA uses generally accepted, industry-standard practices and technologies to protect against unauthorized access to our servers, equipment and other components of our online presence, and to safeguard your credit card information.
